Let the elected officials in your area know that cycling matters. Share the Road has developed our advocacy tips and toolkit to help you talk about cycling during elections, and year-round.
What can you do to ensure that your candidates know that cycling matters? We recommend that you:
- Host bike rides and events to get decision makers on bikes
- Be a resource with research, briefing notes and a network
- Be present in community and build relationships
- Anticipate opposition & build allies
- Track and celebrate successes
