#RideForGreg June 6th
On June 6, 2006 OPP Sgt. Greg Stobbart was killed while on a training ride on his bike. That tragedy spurred Greg's wife Eleanor to found Share the Road. To commemorate Greg's passing, and celebrate the work we’ve done in his memory, we’re hosting an Ontario-wide bike ride as a warm-up to our annual Greg’s Ride on September 22nd.
So wherever you are on June 6th you can ride your bike, take action to transform communities across Ontario through a donation to Share the Road. You can also join us for a social ride followed by craft beer and eats at Groupetto Café in Dundas. Wherever you ride, on June 6 #RideForGreg, ride for fun, ride for safer communities.
How you can participate on June 6th:
- Join us for a social ride in Dundas, ON at 6:30PM. Meet at Grupetto Cafe (24 King St West) for a short 8km ride, followed by light refreshments and craft beer/wine for purchase. This is a free social ride, no registration is required;
- Go for a bike ride in your community and share photos on social media using #RideForGreg;
