Meet Our Staff Team
Stephanie Hahn - Executive Director - executivedirector (at) sharetheroad.ca
Stephanie has an MBA with a focus on marketing and human resources, and 25+ years of experience. Much of her career has been spent working with not-for-profit organizations, helping them with strategic and operational planning; project management; grant writing; research, writing and graphic design of a wide variety of content; toolkit creation; and training.
Stephanie joined Share the Road as Executive Director in 2020, but she is not new to the organization. For many years, she worked with Share the Road as a freelancer, helping with fund development, project management, communications (including work on several Bicycle Friendly Communities yearbooks), and research/planning related to cycling skills education. In addition to her work with Share the Road, Stephanie also has extensive experience working more broadly on active transportation, with a particular focus on school travel. For almost a decade, Stephanie worked in varying roles at Green Communities Canada on school travel planning work.
Subha Ramanathan - Manager, Bicycle Friendly Communities - subha (at) sharetheroad.ca
Subha has a doctorate in public health and more than 15 years of experience with program evaluation, knowledge synthesis and translation. Over the last 7 years, Subha has consulted on numerous population-level interventions related to physical activity and active travel including Ride & Drive with Care and UCycle for Share the Road, and Ontario Active School Travel Program for Green Communities Canada. Subha has also provided subject matter and methodological expertise for applied public health projects with the Population Physical Activity Lab at the University of British Columbia.
The Bicycle Friendly Communities (BFC) portfolio is an ideal fit for Subha’s foundation in evidence-informed population approaches to health promotion and active transportation. Subha is experienced in working with multi-sector stakeholders, developing a common vision, and identifying feasible action plans and metrics for building healthy communities and tracking progress. Subha will be running the BFC Awards program, implementing mechanisms for sharing knowledge and best practices amongst communities, and identifying opportunities to raise the profile of Bicycle Friendly Communities.
